Urgent Action Alert + State House Rally

Last week the Massachusetts Legislature committed to strengthening our gun licensing laws in light of the recent Bruen case that puts our gun violence prevention policies at risk. We are grateful to the Legislature for their commitment and look forward to working with the House and Senate in the coming months. There are only 5 days left for bills to be passed this session, and we need to make sure that our laws are as strong as possible.

Here's where you come in:

  • Use this link to find your state senator's contact information

  • You can either make a quick phone call or send a brief email. Given the urgency of this issue, we would encourage you to do both.

  • If you're sending an email:

  • Express your concerns that our gun laws are at risk due to the Supreme Court decision, and how important this issue is to you.

  • Urge your senator to take action on gun violence before the session ends.

  • Ask your senator or a staff member to call or email you back, with an answer about whether or not they plan to act on gun violence prevention before the end of this session.

  • End by thanking your senator and including your full name, address, and phone number if you would like a call back.

  • If you're making a phone call or leaving a voice mail:

  • Express your concerns that our gun laws are at risk due to the Supreme Court decision, and how important this issue is to you.

  • Ask the staff member that you are speaking to whether or not the senator is committed to acting on gun violence before the end of the session.

  • If they can't give you an answer, ask them to call or email you back ASAP.

  • Thank them for their time and include your full name, address, and phone number or email.

  • We would encourage you to both send an email and then follow up with a phone call.

We're running out of time to protect our gun laws in Massachusetts. Contact your senators today to help prevent gun violence.
