We empower communities to take action.

Gun violence is a public health crisis. To address it, communities need the latest information and practical tools to make a difference. That’s where our customizable trainings and workshops come in.

Our workshops give participants:

  • Up-to-date data on gun violence in Massachusetts

  • Practical tools to drive policy change

  • Strategies to create safer, healthier communities

We work with each partner to customize content and action steps for their specific audience.

Who Do We Work With?

Our trainings are designed for a wide range of audiences, including:

  • School officials and youth-serving professionals

  • Medical and mental health providers

  • Community organizations (such as faith groups, senior centers, advocacy groups)

  • Youth (including toolkits for middle and high school students)

What Topics Do We Cover?

Participants can explore:

  • Gun violence as a public health issue in Massachusetts and the United States

  • Key intersections: domestic violence, suicide, community violence, police violence, mass shootings, and more

  • Advocacy tools to turn passion and lived experience into policy change

What Do Participants Walk Away With?

  • Students and youth: Gain a clear understanding of gun violence in their communities, learn why their voices matter, and receive tools to influence decision-making and policy at the local level.

  • Direct service providers and health care professionals: Learn how gun violence impacts their work and the communities they serve, build skills to better support diverse populations, and connect survivors to relevant resources.

  • Community organizations: Develop a comprehensive understanding of gun violence and gain advocacy tools that help translate lived experience into effective policy change.

Here are a few success stories!

At a Boston-area high school, we worked with students to explore how gun violence impacts their community, why their voices matter, and provided a toolkit to help them turn their lived experiences into policy change.

At a social services center on the South shore, we trained early-career social workers on how gun violence impacts the communities they serve, how to research local gun violence data, and how to connect survivors with community resources.
